Have YOU Participated In A 30 Day Challenge?

30 Day Challenges

You may have seen 30-day challenges on Facebook comments, or in your niche.  Guess what: they really do work!

Here’s My Current 30-Day Challenge

I’ve chosen the goal of creating an original product. “Only 30 days to develop a product?” you might ask.   Not exactly.  It has been a product in the making for a long time, but I have been procrastinating with only rough outlines and thoughts for months now.

It’s Already Working For Me!

I have a random collection of ideas, but they just run in circles.  Since I’ve committed to this 30-day challenge, though, I’m taking action to focus more specifically on what my creation.  I actually made the time to squeeze in a project or two even while taking a trip this weekend.

Here’s How It Can Work for You!

No matter what the challenge is: Never give up.   It is always great to do a challenge with someone else.  In my case, Ken Pickard (“The Network Dad”) has given me the “push” I needed.  I am grateful for having his guidance, here.

To do a 30-day challenge here are some tips to help you be realistic and complete your goal.

  1. Before you make a commitment, assess your time management.
  2. Make sure you can devote enough time to it.
  3. It is best to do it with another person or a group of people.  They may have different goals in mind, but its more about making you accountable for your actions than it is about sharing the same goals.  A group may post each day on Facebook or other social media and give you further incentive.
  4. Being in a 30-day challenge gives you the time you need to look deeply into yourself and make a promise to yourself that you will have it completed.
  5. 30-day challenges work for me because they keep me focused on my goals.

Some Suggested 30-day Challenges

1. Blog Challenge:  If you want to spiff up your blog, do it in 30 days.  Get your plugins in order, make sure you have an optin offer, and do your static pages like the About Me.  Maybe you want to write one pillar post as part of this challenge, or perhaps a series of shorter posts on a single topic.

2. Video Challenge:  Commit to doing a video each and every day for 30 days.  Post them to You Tube.

3. Weight Loss Challenge: Create a healthy menu and stick to it, while doing a chosen exercise daily, for 30 days.

So What Are You Waiting For?

You must accept many responsibilities to become successful in your business.  Accepting challenges is one of the most important. It gives you a sense of accomplishment and takes you out of your unproductive comfort zone.

So get started as soon as you’re ready to create your success!

Hi Donna, I think 30 day challenges are a fantastic idea, very motivating and inspiring! First one I ever did was in 2007 when some Internet Marketers put on a 30 day challenge for people to make money online. It was so much fun with everyone working together, helping and inspiring each other.

From your next posts, sounds like it’s working out for you!

It is working out but what I found out in my journey was that I needed to hire a coach to help me. And so I did. One challenge can lead in the most incredible direction!

To tell you honestly, I have never tried this 30-day challenge since I started my business in this industry. However, after reading reviews and feedbacks about this challenge, I am thinking to take this test some time soon for my online business.

    Thanks once again for sharing!

    Hey Donna,
You are right about 30 day challenges with others, they make you accountable. I’ve found myself not being focused enough when I’m doing my stuff alone, but when I have a team, I get things done.
    Thank you for the post

    Hi Donna,
I have never done a 30-day challenge but I’m excited for you! I really appreciated that you gave us several options to consider for doing a challenge for ourselves. Usually people create a challenge for themselves and don’t consider that different things may work for different people. I also liked your counsel to make sure that you have time to commit to the challenge before starting. How negative will our self-talk be if we start and then have to stop (I don’t want to say quit) because we had too many competing commitments? Good luck on your challenge, I can’t wait to hear your updates. Take care, Allegra

Hi Allegra, Sometimes we plan things all out and think we know how to create our time. But running into pitfalls in a project is just part of it. I committed to 30 days, but did not hit obstacles, I rather hit new learning curves I didn’t know were on that road. I see it as a positive experience, instead of a brick wall. I will not stop until it is done.

    Donna,
What an inspiration. I like setting 30 day goals. That is so much more doable than thinking in the long term. For ezinearticles.com, a few months ago, I completed a challenge of 100 articles in 100 days. Around day 60 I had had it. The rest felt like a real struggle. It would have been much easier to view it as 30 day goals.
So my new goal now is to get my Complete Relationship System up and running and being marketed.

That was some challenge! But as all challenges go, it gets easier when we get used to it. Thanks for visiting Donna

Sounds like a great idea to me! I know I should be posting more often on my blog. Once a day is not too often if I want Google to find me. Maybe now is the time to start!

Anything is great when you START it! I only blog once a week, but I’m juggling so many other things (poor excuse). After my main goal is finished, I have that in my to do list to blog at least twice a week. Also to do Youtube! As for blogging once a day, we depend on comments, ping backs, etc. That’s how Google reads us too.
      Blessings,
      Donna

Donna, I believe I need to join you in the 30 day product creation challenge. Like you I have had a few floating around in my head for months. Just need to get them done!

Take a challenge! It is better to have someone to be accountable with. I was accountable to Ken Pickard of the Empowered Tribe.

Donna, great post, I love it! I did a 30 day challenge few months ago. It was social media fast; no TV, no news, no newspaper, not even movies. Just personal development information, starting with the Bible and other great books and CDs, and surround myself with positive faithful people. I found out the important news were given to me by friends; so even though I did not pay attention to the news I got the ones which were really important. I can’t tell you how great I felt at the end of the period.

    Donna,
You’re the fuse on my dynamite, lady. As my wife and I prepare to launch our new business my challenge for the next 30 days is to prepare our marketing. This is so cool, I can hardly even type it. It’s bigger and broader than I had expected. But, in 30 days our marketing begins. Gotta go. Lots to do. Thanks,
    RICK

Awesome Rick. Turn off the TV and radio, Lock yourself in and roll up your sleeves, it is going to be a bumpy ride my friend. But most important take breaks, Stretch, walk, Go out to dinner and reward yourselves every day!
      Good Luck with it.

30 Day challenge!! I like it! I have been encouraged to do 90 day challenges, but 30 days has been a little overlooked in the goal of 90days… so I think I will chunk it down into 30 days and work on if from there!! Thanks for the tips and the little tricks about what to do!! Although I have done a few 30 day blog challenges, my next step is a 30 day video challenge and also a business product challenge!!

Hi Holly, So many people do that video challenge and by the end of it, they look like pros. Good luck with it. I’m sure you will master the challenge.
      Blessings,

      Hi Kevin,
Yes, I am accountable to Ken and the Empowered Tribe on FB. That’s what makes me have the “push” to get things done. It is a great journey!

Great way to focus on one thing! I set 5 day challenges for myself every Monday morning, but am going to follow up with this when I return from vacation. Thanks for the reminder Donna!

I’m a fan of 30 day challenges! I’ve currently given myself a challenge to complete half a dozen projects this month – similar to yours, they’ve been simmering for awhile but I’ve decided to make the push to get them all completed this month. Short term goals are exciting and energizing! Good luck with your product, I hope you’ll be sharing all the info here when it’s completed!

    This Rocks, Donna. Thank,
