How To Build Relationships With People Through Blogging

How To build relationships with people through bloggingDo You Know “How To Build Relationships With People Through Blogging?”

Ravi Chahar is today’s guest blogger, and he’s going to share his wisdom on this topic right now.

Take it away, Ravi Chahar…

So are you thinking about connecting with more people?

Do You Know “How To Build Relationships With People Through Blogging?”

Would it be beneficial for your social reputation?

Special: Start Your Blog Today: 3 Easy Steps

There are many questions that arise when it you seek to build relationships with people.

In the field of blogging, people are anxious to connect with more and more bloggers.

You think of it like a need.

There are many benefits of having friends in the blogosphere.

But the point is “how would you conclude your approach to others?”

Everyone is trying to build connections to get more exposure.

What are you going to do?

Have you ever felt that happy moment when someone shares his/her story with you?

It’s because trust is a key thread in a relationship and you have to nurture it.

Let Me Provide You The Guide To Build Relationships With People Of This Blogosphere

When you read the term “blogosphere” what does come to your mind?

Is it about the blogs, blogger, blog posts or something we call human bonds?

Well yes, the blogosphere is full of the people who have human bonds with each other.

The feeling of joy when you share something about your “blogging journey” and you see the comment from a person who helped you during your starting days.

Wouldn’t it be beautiful?

Here’s A List Of How To Build Those Relationships.

#1. Believe In Giving.

This may seem strange to the beginners because they start to learn that blogging is a profession and to become a professional blogger they should focus only on their work.

Well, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t help others.

People like to get help.

Do you remember the days when you struggled to solve the problem of starting a blog?

  • Did you meet someone who helped you?
  • Can you forget that person? I think no one can and no one should.
  • Why don’t you become that special person for someone?

Yes, that’s what we call giving.

It means to help your fellow bloggers without greed.

You don’t need to ask for anything, time will provide you the butter and sweet.

I remember how I used to spread my stupid words using an unstructured theme and then one day, I noticed an email in my inbox.

I was thrilled as if I found the key to the magical door.

You would be surprised to notice the growth in your list of followers after showing your polite side to the world.

Just keep helping.

#2. Blog Commenting is the Key To Build Your Online Reputation.

Blogging is about writing, spreading the word, connecting and blog commenting.

Blog commenting is one the most effective activities to build relationships with people.

Do you remember your first blog comment?

Special: Start Your Blog Today: 3 Easy Steps

It may be a little bit hard but you can’t forget the person who used to comment on your blog posts.

You would get the same response from other people.

Never miss even a single chance to show your presence on someone’s blog.

It doesn’t matter if the blog has a high authority or not.

Don’t be that arrogant blogger who only thinks about getting the backlinks.

Spread some love, comment on others’ blogs, connect with them.

How would you feel when you get a comment like this?

Hey Angelina,

I was going through Donna’s blog and saw your comment which brought me here. I am glad that I could find another quality blog.

You have shared one of the best blogging guides I have read in the past few months.

I would love to read some more articles from you.

Hope to see you again.

~Anna.

Did you notice something?

The main reason for such appreciation is because of your comment on Donna’s blog.

The point is that blog commenting can help you to meet new people.

You can spread your words to everyone.

Blog commenting is the master key to build relationships with people.

#3. Show Some Gratitude By Mentioning.

Don’t you like to get mentioned?

We all do.

And this is what you can do to make your readers feel special.

Whether you write a separate post or add the name of your fellow bloggers in the middle of the article, it would make them happy.

This kind of sweet gesture can improve your bonding with those bloggers.

Building human bonds means to show some kindness towards your online friends.

In this blogosphere, people work hard so that they can see their name among the famous bloggers.

And if you help them to take a step in that direction, then why not?

  • Suppose you are writing something related to online marketing, blog traffic or anything.
  • Just add the names of the bloggers who are good with these things.

If you are talking about writing ebooks then you can mention someone like Ryan Biddulph from “BloggingFromParadise.”

Try to find the ways to appreciate your readers.

Special: Start Your Blog Today: 3 Easy Steps

#4. Request For The Guest Post.

This is one of the coolest methods, and it’s a two-way thing.

Wouldn’t you be excited to post content on other blogs even if it meant spending a few hours?

It’s not about the time or effort you invest, it’s about building relationships with other bloggers and sharpening them.

You can get the chance to meet many new people because of the different audience.

The bonds with the bloggers will be stronger.

  • If you know a blogger and think about guest posting then don’t hesitate, just go for it.
  • It would help you to build a special bond with that person.

You know when someone allows you to display yourself to his/her readers then it means that blogger has faith in you.

No blogger can introduce any random person to the audience of his/her blog.

But please, don’t make those stupid guest post mistakes.

Respect the guidelines and always provide quality content so that more people want to connect with you.

#5. Interview Other Bloggers.

Well, this is another strong step which can increase the chances to build relationships with people.

Have you ever thought about spending some time to create a list of interview questions for someone?

It may be time-consuming but you would be happy to see the results.

Special: Start Your Blog Today: 3 Easy Steps

People like stories and when we talk about the success stories then damn, that just blows them away.

There is a special bond between bloggers and the blogging journey.

If you grab the opportunity to interview someone on your blog then it would be wonderful.

Can you imagine yourself how you would feel if someone asks you to share your story?

That’s the proud moment.

Why don’t you be the reason for someone’s happiness?

Ask your list of interview questions to a blogger who has done some remarkable things in his/her blogging career.

And it would be beneficial for you too.

You will get to know more people through the influence of that reputed blogger.

Are You Ready To Build Relationships With People of This Blogosphere?

You may have many offline friends.

But have you ever tried to find out the mutual benefit of friendships?

This may sound suspicious but everything has a reason.

When you build relationships with people of this blogosphere, both of the bloggers get the benefits.

Both will try hard to maintain that strong bond.

It’s not greediness, it’s what we call the mutual contribution.

Have you tried to connect with someone and got nothing?

Well, don’t get disappointed, sometimes people don’t realize the value of human bonds.

From my personal experience, I can say that making friends through blogging is way more useful than anything.

You may work with the SEO, content quality, post frequency… but how would you get support if you don’t have anyone around you?

So build relationships with people through your blogging skills and enjoy your journey.

What a great post, Ravi! It’s awesome to see you at Donna’s. Hey Donna!

Building relationships with others is key. No matter how you do it, it’s a must! By commenting on blog posts, chatting on Twitter or on Facebook, relationships can be built. These relationships can form everlasting friendships, as I have done with so many (including yourself).

I think there is a huge misconception that content alone is key. In my humble opinion, having a great personality, connecting with your readers, showing you’re REAL, and building those friendships can outbeat content.

Wishing you both a Happy New Year! It’s almost time to flush out 2016 and kick ass in 2017!

Hey Donna and Hi Ravi, great to meet you and what a wonderful post.

Way back when I started, I really underestimated the power of blog commenting, that was up until I started to read blogs like yours Donna, and Adrienne Smith’s blog too back in the day. The way blog commenting helps you to connect with folks online is truly amazing.

These days I struggle to find any time to comment on many blogs being so busy, but I do appreciate it’s potential for creating connections.

I also agree with the giving statement you wrote about Ravi, and yes I can certainly remember the day seeking for help on starting a blog those many years back, and I’ll never forget the person and the blog I read that helped me get off the ground.

One of the things I love doing as a blogger is giving, you’ll always be remembered for helping someone and often than not, that someone will always come back to return the favour.

Thanks again Donna and Ravi, have a super awesome rest of the week both of you.

I remember the days when Adrienne’s blog was one of the places where people used to hang out. She used to be a blogging star.

But unfortunately, she gave up blogging for some reasons.

Just like you, I always had to meet people from the different parts of the world. Blog commenting is always considered as the best way to show your bond strength.

As a blogger, we live our lives. We don’t spend it.

      Thanks for your wonderful words.

      Hi Joan,

Reciprocation is what makes this whole concept work.

Blog commenting takes time and dedication, but one by one, it builds into a force of it’s own.

Not only do you make great connections, but all the silent viewers of the thread you comment on gain an introduction to your link, but even more, to your ideas, value and even authority.

It’s always important to be authentic and selfless when leaving your comments.

    Hello Ravi and Donna:

The word “relationship” really is used too casually online it seems to me. As Ravi points out here, in this great post, is that there is more to it than just a casual reference about someone.

A relationship takes effort, respect, sometimes compromise.

Commenting on someone’s blog to me is a privilege. I always try to be authentic, consider how I might help the blog owner with my comment, and try to bring out something interesting.

There are so many benefits to visiting new blogs, building new relationships, giving and learning together, and inspiring and supporting each other.

An attitude of gratitude, putting away the ego and greed, and mentioning other talented bloggers will bring you nothing but more good things.

Thank you, Donna and Ravi, for the fine post and the example you set each week as pro-bloggers.

Blog commenting is one of the best things you can do to start a new relationship with any blogger.

Sometimes, people may not notice you but if you keep going with your valuable comments then there would be a time to build a strong relationship with that person.

It’s not just about having a casual relationship, it’s about having a strong human bond with every blogger you meet.

      Thank you for your input.

      Hi Deborah,

As great a commenting is, I’d add that doing it systematically and consistently is also important.

It’s always a matter concern for bloggers I work with, as to WHO they should focus on for building comment chains, and who is not as valuable.

They often get caught up in the metrics chase… trying to find only bloggers who rank high (domain authority, page rank or whatever).

I’d say it’s most important to have a mix of people in your niche who are ranked high, low, medium.

That way you get a fresh level of interest in you.

The 2 rules, though… establish a system for consistently reaching a defined core group of bloggers, and make sure that most of them are in your niche or in an overlapping one.

    Hi Donna & Ravi,

Thanks, Donna for letting Ravi strut his stuff!

Lots of good ideas here, Ravi. Like your suggestion to not forget the people who helped you out when you were a novice…

When I was starting out, Joy Healey of ‘Blogging After Dark Fame’ (joyhealey.com) decided to kinda take me on. She really made a huge difference in my attitude and direction.

      Hi Edward,

Helping folks find their way is one of the great pleasures of blogging via relationship marketing.

It’s really not about just posting information.

It’s about truly getting involved in peoples’ lives in a real and authentic way.

There’s no better way than helping them get off the ground and establish themselves as great bloggers in their own right.

    Hi Donna and Ravi,

    That’s such a great post.

When I first started blogging I knew nothing, so I had nothing to give, but that didn’t stop really experienced bloggers accepting my comments and reaching out to help me with my problems.

It has been such a gratifying experience to find that – a year or so on – I can answer other people’s problems and offer my own tips and advice. I hope I may give back to newcomers at least the amount of help that was given to me. I’d say more… but I’ve been helped so much, that would be difficult.

I have just finished my review of 2016 post and looking back on it all, much of my success has been due to relationships and kindness from friends online who I have never actually met!

      Hey Joy,

You know, people get disappointed just because no one knows them. It can be solved only if they have the strong determination to spread their aroma of talent in this blogosphere.

In the starting days, I used to ask everyone about building a blog and about SEO. But you know that the time has the power to make us teach.

I would love to read your journey.
      Thanks for sharing with us.

      Hi Joy,

You’ve really hit on something important, here.

Building relationships is not always a horizontal reach.

People need to extend themselves to others both above and beneath them.

Both types of those relationships have their own merits, and both are tremendously valuable to building a blog.

    Hi Ravi,

    Welcome to Donna’s blog.

Connection is the currency of the blogosphere. Sadly, many persons underestimate it and a few bloggers ditch it completely, opting instead for such methods as SEO or posting frequency.

My take is that this is a case of different strokes for different folks, especially as determined by niche. Personally, I have discovered that the need to connect is greatest in the blogging niche while other niches like elderly care hardly has such a need 🙂

Wisdom is thus knowing when the need is required as dictated by the niche.

Be certain to make the day, Ravi 🙂

Donna, it’s good to land on your site again 🙂 🙂

    Always,
    Akaahan Terungwa

      Hey Akaahan,

I totally agree with your point. People are really into SEO and neglect the relationship building. The blogosphere is all about meeting new people.

You may find many bloggers from the same niche and it’s always good to have someone common from the field.

Build some connections and have a few friends.

      Thanks for stopping by.
      Enjoy your day.

      Hi Akaahan,

It is a bit difficult to build interaction on your blog if you’re in a niche topic outside of blogging.

People are generally spectators, so even while they might love the blog they’ll never drop a comment.

A good way to build that kind of interaction is to form your own little group of bloggers within the niche, and everybody gets involved on that level.

That establishes some activity for readers to encounter when they visit, and it may encourage some of them to get involved.

      Hi Guarav,

I really like the way you’re thinking, here.

Ravi has built a real strong case for the importance of building relationships, primarily through blog commenting.

That has to be the backbone of your connection.

And, yes, you could find other ways to extend the relationships and make them grow.

I like the idea of social media recognition, although that’s kind of part of the commenting method, since you include social shares.

Ravi has given some other great ways to extend the relationship, like “mentions” for other bloggers in your posts, and interviewing some of them as it fits into your scheme.

It would be great to explore even other ideas, too, and the I really think this is the way forward with making your blog interactiive.

Information is not going to build a community, Relationships are.

I agree with the part that commenting helps to build relationship. Started commenting 2 months before, to be frank ravi it has helped me to reach out to lot of bloggers. I can see a community where people share their ideas and suggestions. I like the part where most of the bloggers respond back to the comment.

      Hi Sunny,

Keep commenting, and take notes on who is reciprocating consistently and make that part of your daily and weekly implementation strategy.

Look carefully at the comment threads you’re on to find new people to include in your circle of peer bloggers, and keep expanding your circle.

Eventually, start adding “influencers” to your group… see the link at the end of this comment for more info on that.

Good luck, and I’m glad you got a lot of good ideas from Ravi’s great article here.

You covered it. #1 makes it go. Giving with a loving heart makes the bond-building thing work incredibly easily. I struggled with this for years because I gave to receive. Now I catch myself more regularly when I’m definitely trying to get, giving from a loving space instead.

Do for the fun and love of doing – networking, or creating – so you can detach more from outcomes. This steady detaching helps you wind up on blogs thru intended or surprise features. Even on Donna’s inspired blog 😉

That’s such a great way to position this whole conversation of building relationships that Ravi has developed so expertly, here.

In order to detach… really detach… you must come from a place of love.

I have to say, I’ve met so many great people in the blogosphere and I really do love all my friends out here and every day I do whatever I can to help them along their path to freedom and happiness.

It’s true… “you can’t take it with you”… and I know that at the end of the day, and it’s time to hang up my blog or pass it on to someone else… all I’ll remember is the exhilarating sharing and caring I’ve been so blessed to get from my online family.

Relationships out here are not just a success strategy, they’re a way to build a life of happiness and fulfillment.

    Hey Ravi and Donna,

    Great post here!

For me, the best part about building relationships is that you don’t feel alone in the blogosphere.

Everyone is doing their own thing, and when you’re a beginner at this, it can be quite intimidating, especially if you’re not the great writers.

There are many great bloggers that will take you under their wing once you start connecting with them. For me it was through blog commenting and mentioning the bloggers on social media whenever I share their post.

Once I became consistent with this, I started to get help and advice from other bloggers who were focused on similar goals. This is priceless!

With this synergy I started to get other opportunities like guest posting and being involved in roundup posts.

Karma works great when everyone is on the same page!

Thanks for sharing Ravi! Have a good one!

Now I have a very polite notice on the contact form this person used explaining I’m not accepting guest posts at this time which he ignored. Still, I thought I’d give the guy a chance, so I thanked him for his interest and asked him to send me his thoughts on what he would like to write about along with links to 3 articles he’s published online. Silence. No thanks, got nothing, nada. He definitely made an impression. 🙁

      Hey Donna,

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to share my ideas with your audience.

I have always learned about building relationships through blogging. That’s the reason I got friends like you.:)

People really need to think before they even start blogging. Spreading the love through blogging is what people should do.

      Glad you liked it.
      Have an awesome day.
