Anybody can achieve financial freedom online.
But very few do.
Don’t let that put you off, though.
Because you can achieve financial freedom online… if you develop the right mindset.
How do I know that?
Because anybody can.

The fact that very few people do, doesn’t mean that you can’t.
But you’ll need to develop the right mindset to make it happen.
In fact, I think that having the wrong mindset is the main reason so many people fail.
So let me get you focused on the kind of mindset you’ll need in order to achieve financial freedom online.
Create an extraordinary life
Develop your self confidence.
Never doubt that you are able to accomplish whatever you set out to do.
You can actually doubt yourself, even if you are a very talented blogger! (Ryan Biddulph, Blogging from Paradise)
Doubt can be a devastating blow, even to the best blogger.
You have to cast away doubt and fear.
Don’t ever doubt that yes, you can have an extraordinary life.
After all, achieving financial freedom online can certainly give you an extraordinary life.
Never compromise.
And never settle for anything less than exactly what you desire.
It might seem really tough at times.
But don’t give up your dream for financial freedom.
Life doesn’t happen to you.
Sure, things happen to you.
But the way you handle and respond to them is what really defines who you are.
Your life evolves through you, and the decisions you make are a key part of that process.
So develop a mindset of making decisions that will help you create an extraordinary life for yourself, your family and your loved ones.
Design the life you want
I hear people say that they can’t do this or that because of their circumstances.
They have to work a job they hate.
Or they have to support a family, or a spouse or aging parents, or whatever.
So they just don’t have time to achieve financial freedom online.
When you see your life as a series of entanglements that keep you down, you are simply living your life by default.
You believe you can only live to cope with whatever circumstances you find yourself in.
And you feel totally powerless to do anything about it, except to comply and plod along.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Not if you are willing to adopt a new mindset.
Take control of your life
Taking control of your life means that you can design your life to be what you want it to be.
Yes, you can decide to design your life to achieve financial freedom online.
And you can set your mind to that goal.
Let nothing get in your way until you’ve achieved it.
If you really want financial freedom online, then you have to know that you can have it.
Circumstances can’t stop you.
Bad luck, inconvenience, past failures… none of that can stop you once you’ve decided to totally take control of your life.
Don’t just accept what your life is.
Determine to design exactly what you want it to become.
You have the power
You have the power to achieve financial freedom online.
That power comes from your inherent free will and choice.
That’s right.
You can will whatever you want into existence.
And then, you have the power to use that free will to make the choices necessary to make it happen.
Creating your online financial freedom
So how do you actually achieve online financial freedom?
By creating a new reality for yourself.
You see, you constantly create your own reality.
Maybe you don’t even realize it.
But you do, with your thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
So what happens when you’re not satisfied with your reality?
Well, you need to step forward and decide to change your life.
You see, to change your life, you have to change your story.
Maybe your story up to now has been something like…
- I never get what I want.
- The only thing I do consistently is fail at one thing after another.
So, there you have it.
If that’s your story, it is certainly one of failure and frustration.
And you just keep living out that story in one form or another, over and over and over again.
The more you repeat that story, the more you are convinced that there’s “nothing you can do” to change it.
Rewrite your story
Well, okay, you might have problems.
And those problems might well be blocking you from achieving financial freedom online.
But let’s talk about changing that story.
I mean, stories are not written in stone.
But rather, they’re written in sand.
Every time the tide washes over your story, you have the opportunity to rewrite it.
So, for instance, instead of dwelling on all your problems, failures and shortcomings, you could choose to hone in on the solutions to those problems.
That would certainly change your story.
Why?
Because it changes your mindset.
Instead of obsessing over all your challenges, you can strive to overcome them.
Take back your power
When you have the mindset that your story “is what it is,” and cannot be changed, you give away your power.
You lose control over your story, and therefore, your life.
If your mindset is one of powerlessness, then you become a victim.
You become a victim to your own story.
Sure, you can watch as it is played out.
But you are powerless to change it.

You can only hope for better luck next time.
Flip the script
But when you set your mind on changing your story, you take back the power.
You begin to own your story.
And you take on the roles of director and producer, not some helpless and insignificant shadow character.
Once you are in charge, you have adopted the right mindset to construct an extraordinary life.
If that means online financial freedom to you, then that’s what your story will reflect.
Learn to make decisions
Once you’ve developed the kind of mindset you need to create financial freedom online, then you have to make it happen.
Develop sheer confidence in your ability to do that.
That means you need to be clear on what your goals are.
And you have to have a blueprint to follow in order to achieve them.
It’s not enough to want something.
And it’s not enough to have some vague, “pie in the sky” goals.
You need to have an exact blueprint to follow.
That means you need to map out the tasks you will have to undertake.
And it means you must have very clear, definable and proven strategies for turning your blueprint into meaningful action.
You start by defining your desire to achieve financial freedom online.
Figure out why you want it, how you can get it and when you can reasonably expect results.
The rest is about making the daily decisions that can turn your vision into reality.
This is where your mindset plays a key role.

Will you decide to do the tasks required to reach your goals?
Or will you procrastinate, get distracted or succumb to fear when things don’t go right?
Your success or failure is up to you.
It underlies every decision you make as you move forward.
Can you achieve financial freedom online?
As I said before, anybody can achieve financial freedom online.
But only some people do.
In fact, only a small percentage of people who dream of financial freedom online ever achieve it.
But you can be one of the success stories.
It won’t happen by default, though.
Dreaming doesn’t get you the results you’re looking for.
You’ll have to develop a success-driven, self-confident and totally determined mindset.
And you have to really believe you can do it.
So, now, I’d like to hear from you.
Leave me a comment below.
How determined are you to succeed?
Can you develop the right mindset to see it through, over the hurdles and past the obstacles that are sure to get in your way?
Do you have the clarity of purpose to set the goals and create the blueprint you’ll need to guide you?
And can you take the responsibility to make the daily decisions that you must make to get the results you want?
In other words…
Do you believe that you have what it takes to achieve financial freedom online?

Hi Donna,
Financial freedom is not a myth. But surely, take time to enter the space where you should not worry about daily expenses.
Financial freedom does not mean you should not work anymore, but it is about earning from the work that adds value to your life.
Thanks!

It is Great Topic for understanding the importance of financial freedom.
Achieving financial freedom can be very difficult in the face of growing debt, cash emergencies, medical issues, and overspending, but—with discipline and careful planning—it is possible.
All of us seek to achieve financial freedom at some point in life so as to do something closer to our heart like pursue a hobby or write a book, travel, etc.
It is nothing but creating enough wealth to take care of your finances over your balance lifetime, once you stop earning. In short, your assets/ investments must earn enough (if not more) to meet your current and future expenses. The returns must also take care of the impact of inflation on expenses over the years ahead.

Well… you know how I am, kind of a pragmatist.
With that said, I’d agree that anyone “could” find financial freedom online, just like anyone “could” have a successful YouTube channel, a successful business, a successful marriage… other stuff…
I tend to believe in the Law of Attraction, which means we can and should try to be what we want to be. It takes great belief, but it also takes a lot of work, education, attention, and a little bit of luck… okay, a lot of luck!
I remember when the movie The Secret came out in 2004. I bought it immediately, before it was distributed everywhere… while it was still in Australia (I didn’t know that part at the time lol). I watched it multiple times, believed in it, worked it… and within a couple of months I had my first solid, great paying gig. Felt great and “knew” I was going to be truly success… but it lasted 2 years, and the formula didn’t stick, even though I knew what to do and how to do it. It’s been up and down ever since, but I stick with it because I’m a survivor and a believer… but I also know things get in the way and we have to deal with those things (especially for me when I had to start taking care of my mother).
I say all this to get to this point; believe in yourself, learn everything you can, don’t put all your eggs in one basket, don’t try to copy exactly what someone else did just because they turned out to be successful… and don’t give up, even if you have to modify things along the way. Make sure your goals are potentially achievable and attainable; be truthful with yourself, and move forward from there.
Whew; now I need some ice tea! lol

Hi Mitch
Yes, it’s ice tea time for sure 🙂
I think the most important point you make is to never give up.
I got caught up in The Secret, too, like everybody.
Nothing wrong with that, and I do believe that your intention is such a key part of the formula when you’re trying to accomplish anything.
But, of course, “intention” cannot stand alone. It requires a great amount of “attention” as in attention to daily tasks, ridiculous amount of detail… often tedious detail at that.
So the two MUST go hand in hand, and even after that… who knows what will happen.
Luck? I don’t know about that. I really do believe that you create your own “luck” by what you do, more than by what you hope and wish for.
Persistence is key, but even then… life happens.
You had to take care of your mom, and I went through exactly the same thing.
I had to deal with so many things that happened in my life, with my kid, and all that stuff.
It gets in the way, for sure. But it IS what our life is really about.
And it’s different for everyone, so I agree you can’t expect the same results somebody else had just by doing “the same” thing.
Seems to me like you’ve had so much life success in so many ways, and business is really just a tiny part of your life even though we don’t always realize that.
Thanks for the great contribution to the discussion, here!

All of these tips are SOOOO good Donna. Thanks for the mention too 😉
I believe we are programmed to live in a matrix of fear growing up. Even though the matrix and fear are both illusions, most people never train their minds to spot, and forgive this illusion. Most never overlook the illusion. Of course, living in fear, we doubt ourselves, take only what life seems to throw at us, and see self as helpless victims of circumstance. A few good movies to watch, to wake up the mind, include:
– They Live
– 1984
– The Matrix (all movies)
Even though it is an illusion, the illusion of government, politics, world leaders, laws, mainstream media and dogmatic religion seems incredibly strong as agents of control, manipulation and division. But training the mind and taking each bold point you made above to heart really gives you freedom. First, you see yourself as being in power because you control your mindset. Then, you can begin to achieve financial freedom in the online realm.
Everything depends on being willing to look within to uncover your doubt fears and to replace these feelings with self-confidence, empowerment and liberation.
Excellent post Donna.

HI Ryan
Yes, fear is the big villain when you’re trying to establish your freedom… financial or otherwise.
Fear undermines your ability to be constructive and creative.
It keeps you in whatever place you happen to be, with no hope for breaking out.
We take concepts for granted, like self-esteem, power, confidence… yet they are the key to just about anything we hope for.
I agree, we need to take time to look within to get past fear and doubt.
Stop looking for the answers to your happiness and freedom “out there.”
There’s nothing out there… it’s all within.
