If you’ve ever asked “What daily blogging schedule can make me money?” – then read on.
I’m going to tell you exactly the kind of schedule you can follow that could lead to a successful and profitable blog.
Your daily blogging schedule must keep you productive
Well, of course, you have to be productive.
The essence of being a successful blogger is to get stuff done.
Running a blogging business requires that you wear many hats.

You have to create content, drive traffic to it, develop a loyal and targeted audience and so many other things.
So your daily blogging schedule has to be constructed to keep you on your toes.
You have to address all the many aspects of your business each day.
Moss Media published a great guide that will help you make the most of your daily blogging schedule.

10 Practical Steps to Increase Productivity as a Work From Home Blogger
The problem with sticking to a very aggressive schedule is that you end up doing way too much.
I’m not saying you should lighten up and only do things half-way.
You have to do everything you can to cover all the bases.
But don’t fall into the trap of keeping yourself so busy that you can’t do the most critical things.
And don’t get so overwhelmed with useless “productivity” that you lose your energy and motivation to do those things.

How to Become a More Productive Blogger in 10 Easy Steps
Your daily do’s and don’ts
So, sure I could write a blog post every single day.
Or more.
If that’s my daily blogging schedule, and I stick to it… it feels like I’m being productive.
But if I’m not making money with that strategy, then I’m only keeping myself busy, not making my blog profitable or successful.
There are many wrong ways to blog.
But you don’t want to blog wrong.
You want to blog right.
So make your daily blogging schedule center around implementing.
But not just implementation for the sake of it.
Every day you need to implement things in your business that can lead directly to profit.
That way, you will be able to accelerate the kind of productivity that will help you make money with your blog.
Keep yourself meaningfully engaged in your business, not just busy for the sake of keeping busy.
Keeping busy may make you feel like you’re getting somewhere, but if your blog is not making you money… then you’re getting nowhere.
And working awfully hard at it, too.
Your daily blogging schedule needs to reflect your core message
Do you have some kind of a “mission statement” for your blog?
If not, then your daily blogging schedule is bound to be confusing.
Unfocused.
Maybe even pointless.
A mission statement tells your readers what your core message is.
It tells them why you blog.
And it tells them how you can help them solve the problems they struggle with.
If you don’t have a mission statement, then they don’t really know what your blog is all about.
But, more importantly… either do you.
Now, a mission statement does not have to be formal.
It doesn’t even need to be written down, although that’s often helpful.
But it must be part of everything you do.
It must be embodied in your core message that you deliver to your target audience every day.
What is your core message?
What are those solutions?
Those solutions need to be delivered, wrapped up inside of your core message… every single day.
If your daily blogging schedule is not focused on different ways to do that, then it’s going to be really difficult for you to make money with your blog.
Your daily blogging schedule must include sales activities
If you’re not selling things, you won’t be making money.
Are you selling third-party products and services as an affiliate?
Do you sell your own products and services?
Are you asking people to hire you to do something specific for them?
If your answer is “no” to those questions, then your daily blogging schedule is pointless.
Special: Join Donna’s Free VIP Blogging Club – Free Now… Free Forever
Before you do another thing with your blog, stop to list everything you sell on it.
If the answer is “nothing”… then start listing things that it would make sense to sell.
Here’s how to integrate sales into your blog
So start with your niche topic.
Let’s say your blog is all about E-commerce.
You show people how to set up e-com sites, and promote them.
Wouldn’t it make sense to sell an affiliate course about Facebook marketing?
Or you could even buy the resale rights to a course on Facebook marketing, and sell it directly yourself.
And wouldn’t it make sense to set up a related coaching program?
Then you could help people individually to get their e-com business off the ground, or making more sales.
And that’s just one tiny piece of what you might do as part of your e-com blog.
How about offering things to help your readers create sales videos, write compelling and snappy product descriptions or rank their sites high in the search engines.
Start getting sales on your blog
There are so many products and services you can affiliate, resell or create for your ecom niche.
Putting that all together should be a major part of your daily blogging schedule.
Those are the exact activities that will actually help you make money with your blog.
Your daily blogging schedule has to be results-based
It’s amazing to me how few bloggers do the things required to actually make money with their blogs.
In fact, they have the concept of blogging “productivity” upside down.
They think it’s about doing things instead of earning profits.
They write blog posts, and then spend tons of time posting links to them on social media sites.
Then they blog hop, join Facebook groups and attend webinars.
All these things and much more comprise their actual daily blogging schedule.
Yet, they don’t take the time to research new products they can sell, or create services to offer their readers.
They don’t work on building their email list, or writing really high quality emails every day to their subscribers.
Maybe they put banners or popups or squeeze page offers on their blogs.
Special: Join Donna’s Free VIP Blogging Club – Free Now… Free Forever
But they never monitor them.
So they don’t really know if they’re helping them make money with their blog.
They just set and forget them and hope they’re doing the job.
Your daily blogging schedule has to be focused on helping people in your target audience.
Create a good checklist to work from, and stick to it.
And remember this about your daily blogging schedule, too.
It has to take into account how you are attracting and retaining those people.
Otherwise, you have nobody to help.
And it needs to include finding ways to go out into the marketplace and finding new and expanding audience members to bring into your business.
Keep your checklist close at hand to be sure to do all these things daily.
These are the things that will help you make money with your blog.
And, these are the things that are results-based.
That’s why they need to form the core of your daily blogging schedule.
What Daily Blogging Schedule Can Make Me Money?
It’s easy to blog.
Just create a blog site and start adding content.
But if you want to make money with your blog, you need to create a daily blogging schedule that makes sense.
Sure, you can play all day with WordPress plugins, and learn new cool things to add to your blog to spiff it up.
But none of these things will make you a successful blogger, or result in a profitable blog.
So tell me how you would answer the question “What Daily Blogging Schedule Can Make Me Money?”
What do you think is the most important thing to include in that daily blogging schedule?
Just leave me a comment below, then share this article on your favorite social sites.
Thanks!

Hello Donna,
Completely agree with your points, if you want to be productive, you must embrace the power of scheduling your tasks.
In order to make more money, you must need to learn how to manage time effectively.
Consistency also crucial when you are expecting good result from yourself and needs to spend your time on regular basis on your business.
Thanks for these innovative ideas.

Hi Donna,
It is right if somebody wants to make a living fro a blog, he has to do the right things and keeping a daily routine is good.
This also may help to keep motivated to know you did what is necessary. But Ryan is right, doing this like a robot is not a good thing.
It needs also the feeling that you do what you love and have fun doing it.
Being in tension is never good. Setting the intention to help, doing the work joyfully and trusting in the process is something many need to learn 🙂
You wrote a post which has helpful tips.
Thank you

Hi Donna, excellent advice.
If you want to build a money making blog, you need to create a daily blogging routine as you need to work consistently for several months (if not years) to make a full-time income or living from blogging.
Most people treat blogging as a hobby and don’t put much effort and that’s why they quit before they even start. That’s completely fine if they are doing it just for fun or as a hobby. But if you’re someone who’s serious about making money from blogging, you need to build a routine.
You need to spend time for various activities like creating content, building a tribe, driving more traffic, learning things like SEO and so on.
For me, I spend almost 6 to 8 hours on different tasks from managing content to SEO and monitoring sales, traffic and so on. It’s more about managing my time in the right direction than spending more time to creating content.
Thanks for the great topic and tips. Keep up the great work.

Hi Amol
It may sound arbitrary to say that writing in the morning is a “best practice” for being productive.
But you have hit on an important point, here.
Do something productive early on in the day (really, doesn’t matter if it’s “morning”.. but “first thing in your work day.”
That’s when you are freshest and will do your best work.
As you get deeper into your day, your focus will wane and your energy reduced.
It’s called the principle of diminishing returns… you get less results for the same effort as your day wears on.
Good point, thanks.

Hi Donna,
Sometimes I feel I’m “hanging out a shingle” when I try to let people know I offer services.
The “cold call” feel is uncomfortable. I do have static pages about my services that get indexed by Google.

Hi Janice,
I know “cold-calling” is difficult and uncomfortable.
I used to be terrible at promoting myself, even in my “brick and mortar” intuitive consulting practice.
Then I found that just doing a great job got OTHER PEOPLE to toot my horn, and it didn’t look nearly as “salesy.”
I employed a similar tact on my blog recently… a Chat Bot.
It’s a “third-person” approach to welcoming people to my blog, and I’ve had a lot of good impact from that.
Try to get other people to talk about your services, and then you don’t have to do so much of the cold-call thing.
That’s the power of testimonials.
Ask for them 🙂 and then use them.

Hi Donna,
Scheduling something can help to do the job efficiently without stress. It is necessary to create a blogging schedule and divide the different parts of blogging work. I believe that starting a day with a new post and closing the day with promotion will help to boost the effectiveness. It will also help a blogger to be regular and analyze his mistakes.

Hi Gaurav,
You’ve made some excellent points here.
1. Scheduling does help you run your blogging business without stress.
One of the big problems I see bloggers struggle with is “what to do next.”
That’s never a problem when you just have a schedule to guide your every move.
Takes the stress and indecision out of things and keeps you moving steadily forward.
2. Divide your schedule into key tasks like writing articles, promoting them and analyzing their effectiveness.
Give them equal weight and time of implementation in your daily schedule.
That way, you don’t over-emphasize or ignore any one key aspect of your blogging business.
Thanks so much for these great insights, my friend.

Donna Merrill recently posted..How to make the first video for your blog
Hi Donna!
I truly commend people that can keep up with a daily blogging schedule. I tried it for a while on various sites over the years and I just couldn’t keep up with it. I’d be good for a while… and then I’d inevitably slip up, dread the fact that I felt compelled to put something out every single day and became frustrated. It just wasn’t worth it for me. The only exception to this is when I had paid writers.
That being said, I think there is huge benefit from being seen and heard from often, daily being a great goal. In my case I tend to do this through 1-3 articles / week across my brands, with smaller content published on different platforms daily. Social Media, Quora, YouTube etc. It keeps the connection strong and helps to bring new people in as blog readers as well.
Anyway, I agree with all of your messages here, especially regarding blogging with a purpose. Having a goal, and a way to measure it is vital. Far too many people are basing success off of vanity metrics and in time it will hurt them.

Hi James,
Making a daily commitment to do anything is a real challenge, for sure.
I really like using “challenges” to try out new strategies or tactics.
I’ve created several 30-day challenges that I do with clients, and I think I’m going to do more.
People love them, and a “challenge” gives you the opportunity to create a daily task or strategy that you know you can stick to because the time is limited to 30 days, 60 days, 5 days… whatever…
So, first, it kick-starts your effort to start developing a part of your business.
Second, it gives you a defined period of time to see if it’s something that seems to be working for you.
If so, continue it more aggressively.
If not, move on to something else, or modify what you’ve been doing.

Hi Donna,
There is a lot to do daily to become a successfully blogger. You have several tasks hanging on your shoulders of which at some point it becomes overwhelming and results in unproductivity.
Hence one needs to have a sustainable blogging strategy that includes scheduling your content for promotion at the right time.
It is no wonder why marketers who have the budget would hire a VA to assist with the workload.
However, whatever strategy one may use, it is essential to make sure that your framework includes a way to make profits from your efforts.
You have shared valuable insights, thank you. And most importantly, thank you so much for quoting my post and linking to it. You can’t imagine how much I appreciate it ? ?!

Yes, blogging schedules can be overwhelming and it’s a really great idea to hire VA’s to handle some of the more time-consuming things that keep you from meeting your daily goals.
Just set up your business with actionable profit points and a good sales funnel.
Then, sticking to your daily schedule is sure to earn you the results you are looking for.

Hey Donna,
I can only speak for myself: blogging 3 times per week for about 3 years is what got my blog to make money on its own. You are absolutely right: you can’t overstress yourself with the schedule, but we still need to have a schedule. Taking stock of time available, the capacity to write (along with managing a hundred other things like (content distribution, marketing, and housekeeping) — it all takes time and effort.
I also agree that stressing out on anything (including SEO, rankings, design) will lead to, well, stress. No point in that.
Agreed with Ryan — it has to be fun, relaxed, and “the schedule that fits” (to each his or her own).

Blogging 3 times a week for 3 years certainly takes persistence.
But that’s the difference between seeing your blog as a business vs. a quick road to riches.
There are definite steps you must take to master the business of blogging.
The first is to develop a strategy to follow (as you did).
Then, to implement that strategy you must have some kind of daily/weekly blogging schedule… and stick to it (again, as you did).

Bloggers give ZERO focus to energy Donna and figure being a robot and following a strict sked rigidly leads to success. But most fail because we are energy-feeling beings, not robots. Robot-following tips simply creates tension, fear and failure. Bleh. I do what feels fun, easy, relaxed, daily.
