Then you can meticulously follow my Achiever Guide for bloggers.
But after all that, do you believe you will become a blogging success?
If you’ve been at it for a while and are not getting the results you want… do you still believe?
But do you REALLY believe you will become a blogging success?
Here’s the thing about making your dreams and actions actually lead to your success.
Most important… You have to really believe that you’ll be a successful blogger.

It’s one thing to dream about being a blogger…
and take all the actions that you need to.
But do you really believe it?
Do you have faith in the fact that your dreams and your actions will come to fruition?
My Story
This is something I used to struggle with when I was first doing visualizations and affirmations.
It’s one thing to do that positive self-talk with affirmations like “I am a successful blogger.”
And then every day I would wake up and do the actions that I trusted would lead to my success.
But you see, I really did believe it would happen.
Do you?
Your Story
Do you really have faith that it will happen?
And if you don’t, how do you get that faith?
Well the truth is, you can’t force yourself to get the confidence and faith required for your dreams to come true.
You can’t just tell yourself you have faith if you really don’t have it.
What you need is to find a source of your faith
The source of your faith
Your faith can power you through to success against all odds.
So, what is the source of your faith?
It might be therapy, or meditation, or your religion or belief system.
Whatever the source of your faith is, you must call upon it.
Don’t think you can do this “yourself.”
You need to call upon your therapeutic tools, self development enlightenment, higher power, divine source or whatever you refer to as your spiritual guide.

Make your success a priority
Know that you’re working on something very important to yourself.
Being a successful blogger is not casual.
It’s not something that’s just going to happen.
You know you have to have a vision, and you have to do the work.
But you also must maintain your faith every step of the way, in full confidence and belief that it really will bring about your blogging success.
After all your best efforts, just let it happen
When I say that you can’t force your faith to kick in, I really mean that you cannot force it.
In fact, you have to do just the opposite.
You have to just let it happen.
Let go of your anxiety about success.
Just have fun.
And be yourself.
Successful blogging is based on helping others
Most of all, try to help other people through whatever your blog’s mission is.
If your blog is about hurricane preparation, then gather the best information you can to help people prepare for a hurricane.
Or, if it’s about fashion, research high and low to offer your readers the best fashion tips that can really show them ways to dress up their act.
You get the point.
Use your blog to inform and help your readers.
That’s why they visit your site.
Let Go
When you try to help other people, then you forget about yourself.
You let go of your personal ambition.
And you let go of your anxiety about making money, attaining a higher domain authority, or whatever it is that you find yourself striving to achieve.
But striving is not the same as achieving.
Stop striving.
Continue to dream your Big Dream for blogging success.
Put it into action consistently.
Then just let it go.
Stop analyzing.
Stop wondering if you’re doing the right thing.
You already decided on the thing to do… now just keep doing it.
Have Faith
Have absolute faith that all this will result in you being a successful blogger.
Focus not on your success each day, but on how much you were able to help people with your blog.
What did you do today on your blog?
Is it going to be valuable to other people in your niche and in your audience?
Focus on that.
And focus on how it benefits others.
In other words, focus on the success and well-being of your audience and your readers.
Not on your own achievements.

Forget about how much traffic you have, or how many Facebook “likes” you’ve reached.
Don’t even look at the success other bloggers are having.
It doesn’t matter how well your competition is doing.
Nor does it matter if they’re making more money than you, producing more videos or building a bigger Twitter following.
You should only be concerned that you are doing what you need to do.
And that in so doing, you are helping people along the way.
You can do this when you have faith that good results will come as a result of all that you are doing.
Do you believe you will become a blogging success?
So, will you be a successful blogger?
If you have faith in yourself and in your ability, then you can be.
But what if you lose that faith?
What if you’ve been working so hard, and doing so many things that you thought would work… but nothing seems to be getting you good results?
Well, this might be a time when you have to reassess, or even reboot your business.
So, reconsider your business model.
Maybe put it on a new path altogether.

Or maybe just make some substantial changes to certain parts of your business model.
This is something you should always reconsider as you go along.
You should hire a blogging coach or consultant to help you navigate the process.
Now, once you’ve rebooted your business or you’re on a new path altogether, here’s what you need to do.
Let go of the anxiety and expectations that come with typical goal-seeking stuff.
Just Let Go.
Dream your dream.
Do what you have do in order to build your blogging business.
Then relax.
Give it time to happen.
And have the faith that it will.
Always keep in mind that believing is seeing.
When you really believe in what you’re doing, then you will start to see the results you want.
That’s when you will become a blogging success.
Leave me a comment and tell me how you’re doing with your blogging business.
And tell me… Do you believe you will become a blogging success?

Hi Donna,
I prioritize my blog and make sure I set time aside to work on it daily even to the point of sacrificing sleep. I believe God helps those who help themselves, so I don’t know if it’s as much about faith as about focused effort.
You got many comments here; clearly people can relate.

Hi Donna, excellent insights.
Belief. That’s the key to success in any field. You should believe in yourself. After all, blogging is all about long term success. It takes months to years to build a successful blog that actually makes money.
If you’re focusing on shortcuts or often fill your thoughts with negativity, you’re soon going to burn out and it definitely leads to failure. Focus on achieving small victories such as making your first sale, getting your first 100 subscribers, getting 100 visitors a day to your blog etc and then scale up from there.
That’s how you get inspiration and inspiration is what makes you move forward in life. Thanks for the wonderful post.
Keep rocking Donna.

I’m going to tell some truths.
On one level, I’ve been a very successful blogger. I’ve been blogging since 2005, and overall I’ve written over 5,000 articles… I might be closer to 6,000; I’ll have to verify that. I continue to keep up with 3 blogs on a consistent basis; that’s pretty good. Before Google started messing with algorithms and such, my sites were highly ranked. These days I’m closer to treading water, but I haven’t given up hope… yet.
On another level, I’m nowhere close to being a successful blogger. Pre-Google mess, I was averaging over $600 a month back when I only had 2 blogs; not livable but it all helped. Afterwards… well, right now I’m down to $100 a year… ouch! I’ve tried multiple things to generate a consistent income since then but nothing come to fruition.
If I had to base my overall success on monetary gain, I could rightfully call myself a loser. But that’s a pretty negative thing to say, so I’ll say I’m fair to middlin’ and leave it at that.
Mitch Mitchell recently posted..5 Things To Consider When A Break Isn’t A Break
Hi Mitch,
Thanks for that really interesting story.
Yea, depending on Google is a tough ride to take.
Nobody really understands what they’re ever up to with their algorithms, and just as you think you’re getting to know… it all changes.
I think the most successful use of a blog is to direct it to your own audience.
Send them emails, connect on social media etc, to let them know what your latest articles are.
Then, through those connections, you can offer your products and services.
I think it’s generally a mistake when bloggers try to “reach the world.”
Sure, online articles have that potential.
But mainly, you just want to reach your audience, and think of ways to make it grow and thrive.
I wish you well in your continuing blogging adventures my friend 🙂
I always enjoy your writing.

Hi Donna,
Indeed! Firstly, It is very true that we need to have firm believe, apart from dreaming and taking all the necessary actions.
Secondly, we should make our blogging success a priority and keep working hard.
The third point, perhaps I liked the most was that we should focus on helping others through our blog.
You always come up with educational contents around blogging topics.

It’s also easy to undermine our abilities because we compare ourselves to others — which makes us feel small as a result. It’s easy to believe you’ll never reach the success of people like Pat Flynn or Jon Morrow, and before you know it, you are subconsciously sabotaging your own success.
Don’t just believe that you’ll be successful, but rather KNOW that you’re successful already (and will only continue to be more successful over time).

Hi Donna,
You are a pro blogger, there is no doubt about that, which is why your articles are evergreen and so unique. Success in every business is not casual, and I’m so impressed that you highlighted that fact. It requires efforts and consistency. Instead of mimicking others, learn from them and develop your voice and brand identity.
Thank you, Donna. I appreciate you.

So true that blogging success requires efforts and consistency.
But, if you are being true to that path, you then have to “let go” of your anxiety and expectations.
Stop second guessing and looking over your shoulder, or obsessing on results.
Know you are doing what you need to do, and then trust in your inevitable success.
I appreciate your thoughts, Moss.

Nice one, Donna.
I so much like the part you talked about making your success a priority. It works like magic but unfortunately, that is where most newbie bloggers are getting it all wrong.
If one wants to become a blogging star in the nearby future, believing it and putting in the work is very important.
Thanks for sharing.

But too many bloggers focus only on the sentiment, not on the work it takes to attain it.
Blogging success comes from making that success your priority.
Not your wish or dream… but your priority.
When it is, you will settle into your process and trust and believe, it will all lead to your success.

Making the effort to accomplish your goal is always the first step. I love how you put it in simple terms, ask a lot of questions, and let the reader focus on functional success with their own thoughts. It’s easy to tell people what to do, but they can’t always follow. Sometimes you have to just ask them what their dream is and encourage them to pursue their own dream.
Donna, this post was an eye-opener, a reminder that providing value often means reminding others that THEY have value.
What an exciting concept to share!

People just don’t always know how much they can accomplish.
They get bogged down with expectations and focus on their failures of past experiences.
I think this is why coaching is so important.
People really need some hand-holding to work through the process they have to undertake to reach their goals.

Hi Donna,
It is right, bloggers should focus on their own blog and do what is necessary to give value to their readers.
Also, if we do not have faith and do not believe in what we do, it will not work. We need a vision and best is to feel what we want and act as if we already are successful. To have a community or coach is often very helpful to keep on track. It is not only about SEO and getting on page one of Google. We want to have people as audience and better build a tribe.
Good if many listen to your advice which comes from experience.
Thank you

Hello Donna,
Wonderful post. Copying what others are doing does not help you to become a successful blogger. You have to do things in your own style. People want to recognize as you recognize yourself. Believing in you can be a big game changer and it boosts up your self-confidence. I never shy about what I am doing with my blog because I know what is right for me and for my blog. Thanks for this motivational post.
