Squeeze Page Magic: Guest David Merrill

I’ve worked with many people seeking to be successful online.

My first question to them is always, what do you need to accomplish to be successful?

Often, the answers are vague, like having a popular blog, or a lot of Facebook friends. But further prodding usually reveals that the real reason for being online is to make money. So, really, whether or not you have a great blog or a lot of friends is only a side issue. It becomes prominent only when you believe that it will lead to profits.

In truth, blogging and social media are great ways to make money online as long as they are seen as steps along the way, and not an end in and of themselves.

So how do you go from being active, knowlegable and popular online, to the point that you are also profitable?

Here are some ways to converting followers into customers:

Offer them great products that they need (auto-responders, clickbank offerings, tutorials)

Create and sell your own products online (ebooks, video courses, memberships)

Get them to join your business opportunity

Create mini-sites that promote single products or groups of closely related products

Drive your email subscribers to webinars that you or an associate offer, or a entry level one that your business opportunity provides.

One of the main reasons that people fail to jump the gap from providing valuable information to others to converting them into paying customers is that they don’t know how to initiate the mechanics of moving people from their blogs, articles, social media and videos, into their email subscriber list.

The technolgy required to bridge that gap is the creation of highly targeted squeeze pages. Once you know how to create your own squeeze pages, and connect them artfully to all the content you are creating online, you will have the “missing link” to joining the inner circle of online earners.

If you’d like to learn more about how to do this, grab your own copy of my free video series called “Squeeze Page Magic”. It walks you through the step by step process of creating squeeze pages, and turning them into a profitable online business.

    Hey Donna,

Having your own squeeze pages are an absolute most if you want to have any kind of true success in this industry. I use Optimize Press templates to build my squeeze pages and I highly recommend their software to beginners and experts alike.

It was nice to meet your husband Donna, thanks for sharing the info!

    Hey Donna,
Thanks for sharing this information. Making all the pieces fit together is something that can be so frustrating. I never really understood what a squeeze page was and how it fit into my marketing. Now with your post I can see the light.

    • Donna Merrill November 16, 2011 at 1:23 am #

Hi Joyce. I think we are both neck and neck when it comes to our products and other things we are working on. David is the go-to guy when it comes to all the marketing stuff I do. I wanted to introduce the squeeze page to people because many are on line, producing products, giving great information, but don’t have a list. That’s only one part of it. There are so many other aspects to developing a list for your sales funnel.
      Thanks Joyce,

    Donna,

The Squeeze Page is essential but there has to be a system in place. Once someone comes to the Squeeze Page, where do they go. Even if they opt in to your list, what do they get from there? Each autoresponder message and each subsequent email or video need to entice the person into signing up for your membership site, buying your product, enrolling in your coaching program, etc.

I have done many of the pieces and left out something important. It is certainly a process of building the system as well as the products.

    Warmly,

You said it Erica! The squeeze page is only one portion to your sales funnel. It is a continuous communication with your list. Not only offering them products, but at the same time offering free information. Its the 80-20 rule: 80% information and 20% sales.
      Thanks for visiting,

Great post, Donna! I have tried doing some of those on your list to make money online. I have created my own e-book, and have been doing affiliate marketing. I haven’t done squeeze pages yet, it’s one thing that I’ve been meaning to look into but never really gotten that far yet. I tried watching your video but it’s only 1 minute and 6 seconds long, and only up to the point where you were introducing Dave. Am I missing something?

Squeeze pages are a great way to build a list, which is at the core of Internet Marketing. I have seen a number of people who put out great content but don’t really have an opt in offer to act as a lead magnet.

For anyone who loves what they offer and intend to make money at it, they owe it to themselves to have a great offer in place and a good squeeze page to present that offer is important.

    Hi Donna & David,

Great guest post, David! (Thanks, Donna for bringing David in as your guest.) You have a good list of ways to monetize from your online presence and yes, a squeeze page, like you said, can be the missing link that is required.

Well-written squeeze pages are not easy to produce so providing your knowledge on how best to create and make money from them is very valuable. Thanks for offering that value here on Donna’s blog!

To your continued success as a husband/wife team!

      Thanks Dave & Dawn,
Absolutely, squeeze pages take a lot of time to produce, the accurate words, the answer to the question and so on. David can handle that part, but I’m more of the socialite. Together, it all works.
      Thanks for visiting,

This is definitely one of more unique pieces of info out there. Most people will recycle what everyone knows and put it on a website for the sake of content. Thank you Donna for thought-out content,

Donna, if your at all interested in some more, in depth information, as far as
why marketing works, and the psychological foundation of why we want things.

Squeeze pages are a great way to handle a campaign with a specific message. I think many of us in the online world fail to take our online activity to the next stage. We have social media presence, blogs that are building traffic but what next? Squeeze pages offer a great way to run a specific campaign to generate real sales.

    Thanks for sharing!

Glad you understand it all Clare! I usually write about the self-help field, but felt that most of my followers are on line with their businesses and haven’t reached the point of kicking out their business. This Squeeze page is so important for generating traffic.

Great information and offer Donna. You’re so right about the value of creating the most effective sales and marketing funnel. People are so darn busy these days they may not realize just how much they want your product unless you help them along a bit to get the full picture. Thanks for the tips and inspiration!
